The OSG 1652006708 is a spiral flute tap designed for threading M12x1.75 metric holes in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features three right-hand flutes with a 45-degree helix angle that evacuates chips up and out of the hole, making it well suited for blind-hole applications. The semi-bottoming chamfer allows threading close to the bottom of a hole without fully bottoming out. Built from powdered metal and finished with a TICN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this tap delivers improved wear resistance and lubricity compared to standard HSS taps. It conforms to a 6H class of fit and D6 thread limit, producing threads within tight tolerance for precision assemblies.
