The OSG 1651503908 is a high-performance spiral point tap designed for threading operations in a wide range of metals. It cuts a 9/16-18 UNF right-hand internal thread to a 3B class of fit using a plug chamfer, making it suitable for through-hole tapping applications. Manufactured from powdered metal high-speed steel (PMT15 grade) and finished with a TiCN coating, it delivers increased wear resistance and heat tolerance compared to standard HSS taps. Overall length is 3.937 inches with a thread length of 1.0 inch and an H3 thread limit. Machinists and tool and die tradespeople use this tap in production and job-shop environments.
