The OSG 1651502508 is a high-performance spiral point tap designed for threading 3/8-16 UNC holes in a wide range of metals. It features a plug chamfer, 3 flutes, and a TiCN coating over a powdered metal (PMT15) body. The spiral point geometry pushes chips ahead of the tap and out of the hole, making it well suited for through-hole tapping operations. With an overall length of 3.937 inches and a thread length of 0.751 inches, this tap handles standard through-hole threading with consistent results.
