The OSG 1650513208 is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting 6-32 UNC internal threads in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Part of OSG Series 16505, it features a 45-degree helix angle that pulls chips up and out of blind holes, reducing the risk of chip packing and thread damage. The V coating (VC-10 substrate) provides increased surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in demanding tapping applications. With a bottoming chamfer, this tap cuts threads to the bottom of blind holes. It is sized for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and tapping arms operated by machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople.
