Product Description

The OSG 1635007018 is a thread forming tap in the EXOPRO XPF Series 16350, designed for cold-form threading in ductile metals without cutting chips. Built from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this tap delivers extended tool life under high heat and abrasion conditions. It is configured as a modified bottoming chamfer with 2.5 to 3 thread chamfer length, suitable for threading close to the bottom of blind holes. Overall length is 80 mm (3.15 inches) and thread length is 12 mm (0.47 inches). Used by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and tapping fixtures.

This tap is rated for use in a wide range of materials including aluminum, cast aluminum, carbon steel, alloy steel, die steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloy, and titanium.
