The OSG 1625078148 is a thread forming tap designed to produce 7/8-14 UNF internal threads without cutting, displacing material instead of removing chips. Part of the EXOPRO XPF Series 16250, it carries a 3B class of fit and H8 thread limit, making it suitable for precision threaded connections in demanding industrial applications. The modified bottoming chamfer with 2.5 to 3 chamfered threads allows threading close to the bottom of blind holes. Constructed from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, it is built for extended tool life in hard and abrasive materials.
