The OSG 1625003563 is a thread forming tap designed to cut 3-56 UNF internal threads using a cold-forming process that displaces material rather than cutting chips. Built from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, this tap delivers extended tool life in demanding materials including stainless steel, titanium, high-nickel alloys, and hardened steel. The modified bottoming chamfer with 2.5 to 3 chamfered threads allows threading close to the bottom of a blind hole. Overall length is 1.97 inches (50 mm) with a thread length of 0.38 inches and a thread limit of H3.
