The OSG 15149505 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 25 (0.1495 inches, 3.80 mm). It features a 130-degree split point with X-thinned web and a titanium nitride (TiN) coating over the cobalt substrate. The TiN coating reduces friction and extends tool life when drilling ferrous materials. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3/16 inches in diameter, and the overall length is 3-5/16 inches (84 mm). With a 1-7/8-inch spiral flute length and regular right-hand spiral, it clears chips efficiently in both through and blind-hole operations. This drill is intended for machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance trades working with steel and alloy steel.
The OSG 15149505 is suited for production and maintenance drilling in steel and alloy steel workpieces. Its 130-degree point geometry and X-thinned web allow self-centering entry without a center punch in many setups, and it is rated for blind hole, cross hole, and standard through-hole drilling applications. The two-flute spiral configuration handles chip evacuation in moderate feed-rate operations. It fits standard drill chucks accepting a 3/16-inch straight shank and is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit drill bit for applications requiring a wire gauge No. 25 cobalt jobber drill with a 130-degree point geometry and straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility is listed as steel and alloy steel (ISO material code P).
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with drill press, CNC, or hand-drill operation. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in the chuck before operation to prevent runout. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; apply cutting fluid externally when drilling harder steel alloys to manage heat. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine-specific operating procedures when selecting feed rate and spindle speed.
