The OSG 15125005 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in steel and alloy steel. Built to Series 1500 standards, it features a titanium nitride (TiN) coating over a cobalt substrate, delivering increased surface hardness and extended tool life in demanding production environments. The 130-degree split point uses an X-thinned web geometry to promote self-centering and reduce the thrust force needed to start a hole. Overall length is 3.0625 inches with a flute length of 1.625 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3/16 inch in diameter. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users of this bit.

This bit is suited for drilling blind holes, cross holes, and through holes in steel and alloy steel workpieces. The regular spiral flute and right-hand cut make it compatible with conventional drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills.
