Installation Notes

Thread gages are inspection instruments, not cutting tools. Insert the Go end by hand with light torque only — forcing the gage can damage threads or produce a false reading. The Go end should pass fully through an acceptable thread; the No Go end should not enter more than two turns. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent nicks and wear that would affect calibration accuracy.
