The OSG 1432001 is a spiral flute plug tap designed for threading 1/2-13 UNC holes in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a steam oxide coating, this tap is suited for shop environments where consistent thread quality and tool durability are priorities. The 50-degree helix angle drives chips up and out of the hole, making it well suited for through-hole and blind-hole applications in softer to medium-hardness materials.
