The OSG 1410102900 is a thread forming tap designed to cut M4x0.70 Metric Coarse internal threads in a variety of metals. Unlike cutting taps, thread forming taps displace material rather than remove chips, producing stronger threads with better surface finish. Made from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright finish, this plug-chamfer tap is built for through-hole threading applications. The overall length is 2.126 inches (54.00 mm), with a thread length of 0.3307 inches (8.40 mm) and a tapping depth of 0.7717 inches (19.60 mm).
