The OSG 1410102408 is a bottoming-chamfer thread forming tap designed for M4x0.70 metric coarse internal threads in blind holes. Built from cobalt high-speed steel with a TiCN coating, it plastically displaces material rather than cutting chips, producing stronger threads with superior surface finish. The bottoming chamfer features 1 to 1.5 chamfered threads, allowing the tap to thread close to the bottom of a blind hole. Overall length is 2.126 inches (54.00 mm), with a thread length of 0.331 inches (8.40 mm) and a tapping depth of 0.772 inches (19.60 mm). It is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals in production and job-shop environments.
