The OSG 1410102405 is a thread forming tap in the HY-PRO NRT series, designed for cold-forming internal threads in blind holes without cutting chips. Built from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN coating, this tap produces M4x0.70 metric coarse threads to a 4H class of fit with a D4 thread limit. The bottoming chamfer (1 to 1.5 thread pitch) allows threading close to the bottom of a blind hole. Right-hand thread direction. Overall length is 2.126 inches with a thread length of 0.3307 inches and a tapping depth of 0.7717 inches.

This tap is suited for production and maintenance threading operations in alloy steel, carbon steel, aluminum, die steel, hardened steel, and stainless steel workpieces. Installation Notes
