The OSG 1410101100 is a thread forming tap designed for metric coarse internal threading in a wide range of metallic workpiece materials. Unlike cutting taps, thread forming taps displace material rather than removing chips, producing strong, work-hardened threads with no swarf in the hole. This tap is manufactured from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright finish and carries a D5 thread limit with a 6H class of fit.
