The OSG 1400121405 is a thread forming tap in the HY-PRO NRT series, designed for cold-forming internal threads in ductile materials without cutting or producing chips. Sized for 10-32 UNF right-hand threads, it features a plug chamfer with 4 to 4.5 chamfered threads for gradual thread engagement. The tap is manufactured from cobalt steel and carries a TiN (titanium nitride) coating to extend tool life and reduce friction during forming. With an H5 thread limit and a Class 2B fit, it produces threads held to tight tolerances suited for precision fastener applications.
