The OSG 1400120605 is a thread forming tap in the HY-PRO NRT series, designed for cold-forming internal 10-32 UNF threads without cutting or generating chips. Made from cobalt high-speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it is built for durability and heat resistance in demanding tapping applications. The modified bottoming chamfer with 2 to 2.5 chamfered threads allows threading close to the bottom of blind holes. At 2.375 inches overall length with a 0.194-inch shank diameter, it fits standard tap handles and machine holders used in metalworking and mechanical assembly trades.

This tap is suited for blind hole threading in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, die steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
