The OSG 1400117905 is a thread forming tap designed for cold-form threading in blind hole applications. It carries a 10-24 UNC thread profile with a bottoming chamfer of 1 to 1.5 threads, allowing it to tap close to the bottom of a blind hole. The tap is manufactured from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN coating to extend tool life under demanding cutting conditions. At 2.375 inches overall length with a shank diameter of 0.194 inches, it is sized for standard tap holders and machine tapping setups.
