The OSG 1400100000 is a thread forming tap designed for producing 0-80 UNF internal threads in blind holes without cutting or removing material. It operates by cold-forming the thread profile, which results in stronger threads and no chips to clear from the hole. Made from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright finish, it carries a thread limit of H2 and a class of fit rating of 3B. The bottoming chamfer — 1.5 to 2 chamfered threads — allows threading close to the bottom of a blind hole. Overall length is 1.6913 inches with a tapping depth of 0.3500 inches. This tap is part of the HY-PRO NRT series and is sized for right-hand thread direction at 80 threads per inch.

Secure the workpiece fully and align the tap perpendicular to the hole to prevent tap breakage at this small diameter.
