The OSG 1296500 is a spiral flute extension tap designed for threading 6-32 UNC holes in production and repair applications. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it runs at a 50-degree helix angle that evacuates chips up and out of the hole - a geometry well suited to blind-hole threading. The bottoming chamfer allows threads to be cut close to the bottom of a blind hole. At 6 inches overall length, this is an extension-length tool intended for reaching recessed bosses or deep features that a standard-length tap cannot access. The H3 thread limit provides a consistent tolerance range for 2B class of fit assemblies.
