The OSG 1252102 is a spiral flute pipe tap designed for cutting 1/2-14 NPT internal pipe threads in production and maintenance applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with an elektraLUBE finish, it features a 15-degree helix angle and four flutes that channel chips up and out of the hole during tapping. The bottoming chamfer allows threading close to the bottom of a blind hole where standard taper-chamfer taps cannot reach.
