The OSG 1207401 is a spiral point tap designed for cutting internal threads in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It produces a 6-32 UNC thread form with a plug chamfer, right-hand thread direction, and a 3B class of fit. The tap is manufactured from high-speed steel and finished with a steam oxide coating that helps reduce friction and resist corrosion during use. With 2 flutes and an H2 thread limit, it is suited for through-hole tapping applications where chips can be pushed ahead of the cutting edges.
