The OSG 1124008 is a straight flute tap designed to cut 5/8-18 UNF internal threads in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a TiCN coating, it delivers extended tool life and reduced friction in production and maintenance threading operations. The plug chamfer style makes it well suited for through-hole applications where the tap can advance freely into the cut.
