The OSG 1111700 is a straight flute bottoming tap designed for threading operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it cuts a 3/8-24 UNF right-hand thread with a bottoming chamfer, making it the correct choice when threads must extend to the bottom of a blind hole. The tap features 4 flutes, an overall length of 2-15/16 inches, a thread length of 1-1/4 inches, and an H2 thread limit tolerance for controlled fit. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance mechanics use this tap in both manual and machine tapping applications.

This tap is suited for use in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials including aluminum, cast aluminum, cast iron, low-carbon steel, medium-carbon steel, and high-carbon steel.
