The OSG 1111600 is a straight flute plug tap designed for cutting internal threads in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it cuts 3/8-24 UNF right-hand threads and is suited for through-hole and blind-hole tapping in production and maintenance applications. The plug chamfer style provides a moderate lead-in, making it a versatile choice for most general tapping work. With 4 flutes and an H2 thread limit, this tap delivers consistent thread tolerance across materials including aluminum, cast iron, and low-, medium-, and high-carbon steel. Overall length is 2-15/16 inches with a thread length of 1-1/4 inches.
