The OSG 1105610708 is a spiral point plug tap designed for threading 8-32 UNC holes in demanding materials. Built from powdered metal and coated with TiCN, it handles hardened steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, titanium, and alloy steel without the rapid wear typical of standard HSS taps. With 3 flutes and a plug chamfer, it pushes chips forward ahead of the cutting action, making it well suited for through-hole tapping operations. The H2 thread limit holds tight tolerances for 3B class of fit applications. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians commonly use this tap on manual machines and CNC machining centers.

Do not reverse direction until the tap has completed its cut cycle in CNC applications.
