The OSG 1014305 is a straight flute tap designed for cutting internal threads in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It cuts 8-32 UNC threads with a right-hand direction and features a plug chamfer for general through-hole and blind-hole applications. Built from high-speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, the tap offers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS. With 4 flutes, a thread limit of H2, and a Class 3B fit, it produces threads suitable for close-tolerance fastener applications. Overall length is 2.125 inches with a 0.75-inch thread length.
