The OSG 1001100 is a straight flute bottoming tap designed to cut internal threads in through-holes and blind holes where threads must extend close to the bottom. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it cuts a 2-56 UNC right-hand thread to a 2B class of fit with an H1 thread limit. The 3-flute design provides good chip clearance in a range of workpiece materials. Overall length is 1.75 inches, with a 0.4375-inch thread length and a 0.141-inch shank diameter. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this tap in manual and CNC tapping operations where close-tolerance threads are required.
