The OSBORN 0003074000 is a knotted-wire end brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, deburring, and weld cleaning in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance applications. Built with steel knotted wire filaments ranging from 0.0101 to 0.0200 inches in diameter, this brush delivers the aggressive cutting action needed to remove mill scale, rust, and heavy contaminants from metal surfaces. It operates at a maximum rated speed of 20,000 RPM and includes a shank for direct chuck mounting on die grinders and rotary tools. The 1-inch brush diameter makes it well suited for working in confined areas, ports, and irregular surfaces where flat or cup brushes cannot reach.
This end brush is used across metal fabrication shops, pipe yards, welding operations, and general industrial maintenance. It is appropriate for both ferrous and mild steel substrate prep work. The shank-mount design fits standard die grinders and flexible shaft machines commonly used by machinists, pipefitters, ironworkers, and maintenance technicians. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves, as wire ends can shed under load. Inspect the brush for loose or broken wires before each use and replace if filament loss is observed.
