The OSBORN 0003073900 is a knotted steel wire end brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, weld cleaning, rust removal, and deburring on metal workpieces. The 1-inch diameter brush head mounts via an included shank, allowing direct chucking into a die grinder or drill press for controlled, concentrated brushing action. With a maximum operating speed of 20,000 RPM, it handles high-speed rotary tool applications where a cup or wheel brush cannot reach. Wire diameter is up to 0.0100 inches, and the knotted wire construction delivers firm, consistent abrasive contact across tight spots, weld seams, and irregular surfaces. This tool is used by fabricators, pipefitters, ironworkers, and maintenance mechanics.
The 0003073900 end brush is suited for use in fabrication shops, industrial maintenance, and field repair environments where concentrated wire brushing is required on steel, iron, and other ferrous materials. It fits applications where access is limited to small openings, corners, pipe interiors, or recessed weld joints. The included shank fits standard die grinder and rotary tool chucks. It is sold as a single-piece unit, making it practical for replacement stocking or one-off service needs.
Designed as an OEM-style end brush for use with die grinders, drill presses, and rotary tools accepting a standard shank-mounted wire brush. Verify that the host tool is rated for a minimum of 20,000 RPM before use.
Installation is performed by trade mechanics and fabricators familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Power down and disconnect the host tool before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 20,000 RPM rating marked on the brush. Operators should wear appropriate eye protection and face shielding in accordance with ANSI and shop safety requirements when using wire end brushes at high RPM.
