The OSBORN 0003028700 is a nylon-fill end brush designed for light deburring, surface preparation, and cleaning on metal, plastic, and composite workpieces. It features crimped nylon wire impregnated with 320-grit silicon carbide abrasive, delivering a very fine cutting action without aggressive material removal. Rated to 19,000 RPM, this brush mounts via an included shank and is driven by die grinders, drill presses, or rotary tools. It is a standard tool for machinists, pipefitters, and fabricators who need controlled surface finishing in bores, weld seams, and tight contours.
This end brush is suited for finishing work in both shop and field environments. The silicon carbide abrasive grit makes it effective on non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, ceramics, and plastics where a very fine scratch pattern is required. The included shank fits standard rotary tool and die grinder collets, making it a direct drop-in for most portable and bench-mounted rotary setups. Typical applications include cleaning threaded ports, smoothing weld flash in recessed areas, and light blending of machined surfaces.
Designed as an OEM-style end brush for use with standard die grinders, rotary tools, and drill presses equipped with compatible collet sizes for the included shank.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, or maintenance technicians using standard rotary equipment. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 19,000 RPM maximum rating before use. Secure the shank fully into the collet and verify the collet is tightened before operating. Wear appropriate eye protection and confirm the workpiece is secured before applying the brush.
