The ORTRONICS TJ6A-68 is a Cat6A modular jack insert designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential networks. Part of the Clarity TracJack system, this insert supports both T568A and T568B wiring configurations, giving installers flexibility to match existing infrastructure standards. It is designed for use in modular faceplate and patch panel applications where high-performance copper cabling terminations are required. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors typically install this component as part of a structured cabling system. The insert ships as a single unit.
The TJ6A-68 is suited for horizontal cabling runs terminated at wall outlets, faceplates, surface-mount boxes, or patch panels in office, data center, and commercial building environments. It supports Cat6A performance standards, making it appropriate for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications over copper. Installers working on new construction or retrofit projects will find it compatible with standard TracJack modular mounting frames and housings.
Designed as an OEM-style modular insert for use with TracJack-compatible frames, faceplates, and patch panel housings that accept standard snap-in Cat6A inserts.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Ensure the horizontal cable run is de-energized and any connected network equipment is powered down or disconnected before terminating. Use a 110-style punch-down tool appropriate for the insert type. Follow the T568A or T568B pin assignment printed on the insert body consistently throughout the installation to avoid wiring mismatches.
