The ORTRONICS KT2J5E-44 is a Category 5e keystone jack designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential settings. This jack provides a reliable termination point for Cat5e horizontal cabling, supporting data and voice network infrastructure. Finished in yellow for easy circuit identification and color-coded zone management, it is sold as a single unit. Licensed electricians, low-voltage cabling technicians, and network infrastructure contractors are the primary installers of this type of component.
This keystone jack is used in patch panel builds, wall plates, surface-mount boxes, and modular furniture faceplates wherever a Cat5e termination is required. Yellow color coding makes it well-suited for environments that use color-based port identification to distinguish network segments, departments, or circuit types. It fits standard keystone-compatible mounting hardware commonly found throughout commercial and residential structured cabling systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for standard keystone-compatible Cat5e structured cabling infrastructure.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage or communications cabling technicians in accordance with applicable TIA-568 structured cabling standards. De-energize and disconnect any active network equipment before terminating or re-terminating keystone jacks. Use a punch-down tool appropriate for the jack type when terminating horizontal cable conductors. Verify conductor seating and connector engagement before securing the jack into its mounting hardware.
