The ORTRONICS KS6A-88 is a Category 6 keystone jack designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential environments. This single-port insert terminates Cat6 twisted-pair cable to deliver reliable Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed data connectivity at the wall outlet or patch panel. The white finish suits standard faceplate and surface-mount housing applications. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors install this jack as part of a complete horizontal cabling run, punching down the cable conductors to the integrated IDC terminals.
The KS6A-88 fits standard keystone-style faceplates, surface-mount boxes, and patch panels that accept universal keystone inserts. It is suited for office, data center, and light commercial structured cabling projects requiring Cat6 performance. The jack terminates 24 AWG to 22 AWG solid copper conductors and snaps securely into any keystone-compatible housing without tools.
Designed as an OEM-style structured cabling component for use with standard keystone-compatible faceplates, patch panels, and surface-mount housings in Cat6 horizontal cabling systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling technician or qualified network installer in accordance with TIA-568 cabling standards. Power down any active network equipment connected to the run before terminating. Use a 110-style punch-down tool to seat conductors fully into the IDC terminals and trim excess. Avoid untwisting conductors more than 0.5 inches from the termination point to maintain Cat6 crosstalk performance.
