The ORTRONICS HDJ5E-00 is a Cat5e keystone jack designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential network infrastructure. Part of the Clarity series, it supports both T568A and T568B wiring schemes, giving installers flexibility on a single termination point. The jack accepts 110-style punch-down termination and is built for use in patch panels, wall plates, and surface-mount boxes. Licensed low-voltage technicians and data cabling contractors are the primary installers of this component in horizontal cabling runs.
This jack fits standard keystone mounting cutouts and is suited for Category 5e structured cabling systems in offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and light industrial environments. It is sold as a single unit and works within the ORTRONICS Clarity product family. Typical applications include horizontal runs from patch panels to workstation outlets where Cat5e performance is the specified standard.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard component for Cat5e structured cabling systems using keystone-style wall plates, surface-mount boxes, and patch panels with standard keystone cutouts.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician in accordance with TIA-568 cabling standards. Power down any active network equipment on the circuit before terminating cables at the jack. Use a 110-style punch-down tool to seat conductors; avoid nicking conductor insulation during seating. Verify wiring scheme consistency across all jacks and patch panels throughout the run before testing.
