The OREGON TOOL T55 is a 16-inch low-profile chainsaw chain built for lightweight chainsaws used in residential and light commercial cutting applications. The semi-chisel cutter design delivers an aggressive cutting edge while maintaining a forgiving sharpening profile, meaning technicians and operators spend less time on maintenance and more time cutting. Cutter top-plates are 33% longer than standard designs, extending the usable life of the chain before replacement is needed. The LubriTec system continuously oils the chain and guide bar during operation, reducing friction and heat buildup. Blued cutters provide added corrosion resistance for chains stored or used in wet conditions.
The T55 is suited for residential tree work, limbing, pruning, and general-purpose cutting where a lightweight saw is the primary tool. The low-profile design is a match for compact and consumer-grade chainsaws commonly used by arborists, landscapers, and property owners maintaining smaller acreage. The low-vibration construction reduces operator fatigue during extended use, making it a practical choice for day-long cutting tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement chain for lightweight and compact 16-inch bar chainsaws.
Chain installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified operator with the saw powered off, the spark plug boot disconnected, and appropriate cut-resistant gloves worn. Use the saw manufacturer's specified bar and chain tensioning procedure before first cut. Verify the drive links seat fully in the guide bar groove and the chain rotates freely by hand before starting the saw. Follow ANSI B175.1 safety standards for chainsaw operation and chain service.
