The ORBIT INDUSTRIES SSLN-50 is a steel sealing locknut designed to secure threaded conduits or connectors to electrical junction boxes and enclosures in wet and damp locations. The gasketed contact surface forms a water-tight seal against the box wall, allowing standard junction boxes with unthreaded conduit knockout openings to be used in wet-location applications. Serrated teeth on the locknut bite into the box or enclosure surface to resist vibratory loosening. The zinc electroplated finish provides corrosion protection for damp-location installations. Licensed electricians install this hardware as part of conduit termination work on commercial and residential wiring systems.

This sealing locknut is suited for wet and damp location conduit installations where a watertight connection is required at the junction box or enclosure entry point. The 1/2 inch trade size fits the most common conduit and connector size used in residential and light commercial electrical work. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
