The ORBIT INDUSTRIES PB-75 is a threaded plastic insulating bushing designed for use on rigid metal conduit and IMC conduit. It threads onto the end of a conduit to provide a smooth, rounded surface that protects wire insulation from abrasion and damage as conductors are pulled through. Made from high-impact polypropylene, the PB-75 is temperature rated at 105 degrees C and is suitable for standard trade installations where conduit terminations require an insulating barrier. Electricians install this bushing at box knockouts and conduit termination points as part of a compliant wiring method.
The PB-75 fits 3/4 inch trade size threaded conduit and is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations. It is typically installed wherever rigid or IMC conduit terminates into a panel, enclosure, or junction box, especially when a separate grounding bushing is not required. The smooth interior bore reduces friction during wire pull-in and helps prevent insulation nicks that could cause ground faults or code violations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for 3/4 inch trade size threaded rigid metal conduit and IMC conduit terminations in commercial and residential electrical installations.
A licensed electrician should install conduit fittings in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for conduit terminations. De-energize all circuits before working on any conduit system or enclosure. The bushing threads hand-tight onto the conduit end and may be snugged with pliers if needed, but avoid over-tightening, which can crack the polypropylene body. Verify that the bushing is fully seated before pulling wire through the conduit.
