The ORBIT INDUSTRIES MLTI-50 is a straight, insulated-throat malleable iron liquidtight connector in 1/2 inch trade size. It is designed to terminate flexible metallic liquidtight conduit and Type B flexible non-metallic liquidtight conduit to boxes or enclosures in both wet and damp locations. The insulated throat protects wire insulation at the entry point. The connector slips onto the conduit jacket and grips it firmly, creating a liquidtight seal that resists pullout. A zinc electroplated finish provides corrosion protection in damp environments. Licensed electricians install this fitting during conduit termination work on commercial and industrial wiring systems.
This connector is suited for wet and damp location installations where flexible liquidtight conduit must be bonded to metal boxes, panels, or enclosures. Typical applications include HVAC equipment connections, pump wiring, outdoor panel feeds, and any installation where the conduit run requires flexibility at the termination point. The included sealing washer provides a liquidtight seal when terminated in threadless openings. The heavy-duty locknut included with the connector maintains grounding continuity across the connection, which is a critical requirement in bonded electrical systems.
Designed for use with flexible metallic liquidtight conduit and Type B flexible non-metallic liquidtight conduit at 1/2 inch trade size terminations to boxes or enclosures in wet and damp locations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local electrical codes. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage before beginning conduit termination work. Slip the connector onto the conduit jacket until seated, then tighten the locknut against the enclosure knockout to secure the connection and establish grounding continuity. When terminating in threadless openings, ensure the sealing washer is properly seated to maintain the liquidtight integrity of the connection.
