The ORBIT INDUSTRIES MLTI-100 is a straight, insulated-throat malleable iron liquidtight connector designed for terminating flexible metallic liquidtight conduit and Type B flexible nonmetallic liquidtight conduit to boxes and enclosures. Built for both wet and damp locations, the connector slips onto the conduit and grips the jacket firmly, creating a strong liquidtight seal that reduces pullout risk while speeding up installation. The one-piece zinc electroplated body delivers corrosion protection. A heavy-duty locknut is included with every unit to maintain grounding continuity, and a sealing washer is provided for threadless opening terminations. All components can be disassembled and reused.
This connector is intended for use in residential, commercial, and industrial wiring applications where flexible conduit must be terminated at enclosures, panels, junction boxes, or equipment housings exposed to wet or damp environments. Electricians use this fitting wherever flexible metallic liquidtight conduit or Type B flexible nonmetallic liquidtight conduit runs require a code-compliant, bonded connection. The 1-inch trade size fits standard 1-inch conduit jackets. Its straight configuration suits direct entries where angled fittings are not required.
Designed for use with flexible metallic liquidtight conduit and Type B flexible nonmetallic liquidtight conduit at a 1-inch trade size. Suitable for wet and damp location installations where conduit must be bonded to boxes or enclosures.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify the absence of voltage before beginning work. Slip the connector onto the conduit end, seat the locknut firmly against the enclosure wall to establish grounding continuity, and install the sealing washer when terminating into a threadless knockout. Do not overtighten or force the fitting, as malleable iron threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
