The ORBIT INDUSTRIES EEL22-400 is a 22.5-degree EMT conduit elbow manufactured from prime EMT conduit stock in the 4-inch trade size. It is designed to change the routing direction of an EMT conduit run while maintaining a smooth, continuous raceway for electrical conductors. The interior and exterior surfaces are free from defects and feature a smooth welded seam. A hot-dip galvanizing process applies a thorough, even zinc coating to both surfaces, providing corrosion resistance suited to commercial and industrial conduit installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors handle installation as part of a complete EMT wiring system.
This elbow is used in electrical conduit systems where a 22.5-degree directional change is required, allowing for gradual bends that reduce conductor stress during wire pull. The 4-inch trade size is common in larger commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical distribution installations. It connects standard 4-inch EMT conduit sections and is applicable wherever EMT conduit raceways are code-permitted. It is produced to ANSI C80.3 and UL 797 specifications, making it appropriate for use where listed EMT fittings are required by the National Electrical Code.
Designed as a listed OEM-style fitting for use with standard 4-inch trade size EMT conduit systems where ANSI C80.3 and UL 797 compliant elbows are required.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected raceway before beginning work. Use appropriate EMT setscrew or compression couplings and connectors to secure the elbow to adjacent conduit sections. Ensure the conduit run is properly supported and secured per NEC spacing requirements after the elbow is installed.
