The ORBIT INDUSTRIES CS-CJ6 is a cable support bracket designed to secure nonmetallic (NM) sheathed cable during rough-in wiring installations. It accommodates up to 6 NM cables and mounts directly to wood studs, providing a stable anchor point that keeps wiring organized and code-compliant within wall cavities. A built-in locking tab holds cables firmly in place once seated, reducing movement during and after installation. Electricians use this type of support in residential framing work to maintain proper cable spacing and prevent insulation damage at structural members.
This cable support is suited for residential electrical rough-in applications where NM-sheathed wiring is routed through or along wood-framed stud walls. The stud-mounting design makes it straightforward to install during the framing stage before drywall is applied. It is appropriate for use in single-family homes, multi-family construction, and light commercial wood-frame projects where NM cable runs require positive retention at regular intervals per NEC requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style cable support for residential and light commercial wood-frame electrical installations requiring NM cable retention at stud mounting locations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician during the rough-in phase, prior to insulation and drywall. Ensure all branch circuits are de-energized at the panel before handling any wiring. Fasten the bracket to the stud face with appropriate screws, then seat each NM cable through the bracket until the locking tab engages. Follow NEC Article 334 guidelines for NM cable support spacing and securing requirements.
