The OPTREL 4700.010 Swiss Air is a TH3-rated powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) system built for sustained use in industrial and welding environments. The system combines a flame-retardant ventilated half-mask with a high-output filter unit that captures 99.8% of harmful particles, aerosols, vapors, smoke, and biological contaminants. A 14-hour high-performance battery pack supports full-shift operation without interruption. A central control panel provides real-time filter and battery status, airflow regulation, and automatic altitude and temperature compensation, keeping protection consistent across changing job conditions. Installed by safety officers and trades professionals, the Swiss Air is engineered for comfort during extended wear.
The Swiss Air PAPR system is designed for industrial, manufacturing, and welding applications where respiratory protection at the TH3 level is required. The half-mask configuration works as a standalone unit or pairs with compatible head protection including welding helmets and hoods. The adjustable head harness accommodates head sizes from XS through XL, making it suitable for a range of workers on the same jobsite. Automatic airflow calibration maintains the required positive pressure, reducing breathing effort and worker fatigue over a full shift.
Compatible with optrel hoods and head protection options including the Panoramaxx CLT, Crystal 2.0, industrial helmets, and weldCap configurations, as well as bare-head half-mask use.
The Swiss Air PAPR system is fitted and serviced by qualified safety personnel or industrial hygienists in accordance with applicable OSHA and NIOSH respiratory protection program requirements. Before servicing or replacing the filter unit, power down the system and follow the manufacturer filter-change procedure. Verify the battery is fully charged before each shift and inspect the half-mask seal and harness for wear or damage prior to use. Filter replacement intervals should follow site respiratory protection program guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
