The OPTICAL CABLE CORP. K6A09 is a Cat6A UTP keystone jack finished in yellow, designed for high-density structured cabling installations. This modular connector insert terminates unshielded twisted pair cabling at patch panels, wall plates, and surface-mount boxes. It supports the Cat6A performance standard, making it suitable for 10-Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth network applications. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling professionals install this jack as part of permanent link assemblies in both commercial and residential structured wiring systems.
This keystone jack is used in structured cabling installations where Cat6A performance is required. The yellow color coding aids in port identification and cable management across patch panels and outlets. It fits standard keystone-compatible wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount enclosures. The UTP design eliminates the need for grounding infrastructure, simplifying installation in typical office, data center, and light commercial environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install component for standard keystone-format wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes supporting Cat6A UTP cabling infrastructure.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage technicians or structured cabling professionals in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 standards. Terminate cabling using an appropriate punch-down tool; de-energize any connected network equipment before working on active patch panels. Maintain pair twist as close to the termination point as possible to preserve Cat6A signal integrity. Follow local building codes for in-wall cabling where applicable.
