The OPTICAL CABLE CORP. DX012DALT9QRI2 is a 12-fiber multimode OM3 riser-rated armored fiber optic cable designed for demanding indoor backbone and vertical riser runs. The armored construction adds mechanical protection against crushing, rodent damage, and installation stress that standard riser cables cannot withstand. OM3 glass supports high-bandwidth applications including 10 Gigabit Ethernet and is suited for data centers, campus backbones, and commercial building structured cabling installations. Licensed low-voltage and datacom contractors are the primary installers of this cable type.
This cable is intended for indoor riser (CMR) environments where vertical runs between floors require both fire-rating compliance and physical protection. The 12-fiber count makes it appropriate for moderate-density backbone links in commercial and enterprise settings. Armored riser fiber of this type is commonly pulled through conduit, cable trays, and riser sleeves in multi-story buildings. It is sold as a single unit per reel or assembly as indicated by the supplier data.
Designed as an OEM-style multimode OM3 riser armored fiber cable suitable for standard LC, SC, or ST terminated backbone installations in commercial indoor environments where riser-rated armored cable is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or datacom contractor familiar with TIA-568 structured cabling standards and local fire and building codes governing riser-rated cables. De-energize any adjacent powered systems before pulling cable through shared pathways. Maintain the cable's minimum bend radius at all times during pulling and routing to avoid damaging the fiber cores. Do not nick or crush the armor layer during jacket stripping at termination points.
