The OMNI CABLE hw15201804 is a 600-volt, UL Type TC-ER shielded control tray cable designed for industrial and commercial electrical installations where protection from electrostatic interference is required. Built on 18 AWG stranded conductors with flame-retardant PVC insulation and a clear nylon outer jacket, this cable is engineered for reliable signal and control circuit performance in demanding environments. Each conductor uses a 7-strand construction for flexibility during routing and termination. The 500-foot reel format suits larger pull runs and minimizes splice points across long conduit or tray runs.
This cable is appropriate for use in cable trays, conduit, and direct burial-rated tray applications where the TC-ER rating applies. Typical installations include motor control centers, process control panels, instrumentation wiring, and HVAC control circuits in light industrial, commercial, and utility facilities. The integral shield addresses electrostatic noise common in environments with variable frequency drives, relay panels, and other switching equipment operating in close proximity to low-voltage control wiring.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shielded control cable for industrial and commercial control tray wiring applications requiring 600-volt, 18 AWG, 4-conductor TC-ER rated cable with electrostatic shielding.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 336 governing TC-ER cable and any applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out power sources before making terminations. Maintain minimum bend radius during pulling to avoid damaging the shield or jacket. Verify that the TC-ER exposed-run provisions are accepted by the local authority having jurisdiction before installing outside a raceway.
