The OLD CASTLE v-1104 is a molded PVC sanitary tee-wye fitting designed for gravity-flow drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. Built to SDR 35 standards, this fitting accepts 4-inch hub connections on all three ports, allowing branch tie-ins to a main horizontal drain line. The molded PVC construction provides corrosion resistance and long service life in buried or above-slab applications. Licensed plumbers install this fitting during rough-in on residential and commercial sewer lateral work where a 4-inch branch connection is required.
This fitting is used in underground and above-grade DWV piping systems, including sanitary sewer laterals, building drains, and storm drain applications where SDR 35 PVC pipe is specified. The hub-by-hub-by-hub connection configuration suits new construction and replacement rough-in scenarios. Its sanitary sweep geometry supports proper waste flow direction and is appropriate for horizontal drain runs in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Designed for use with 4-inch SDR 35 PVC DWV pipe in gravity-flow sanitary sewer and drain systems using solvent-weld hub connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off water flow and ensure the line is clear before cutting into an existing system. Use the correct PVC primer and solvent cement rated for SDR 35 pipe and fittings, and follow the cement manufacturer's cure time before restoring flow. Verify branch orientation and flow direction before cementing, as the fitting cannot be repositioned after the joint sets.
