The OETIKER 16700012-100 is a single-ear hose clamp designed for permanent, low-profile connections on hose and tubing assemblies. The clamp cinches down when the ear is crimped with a standard ear clamp tool, creating a uniform 360-degree grip around the hose. At 35/64 inch nominal size, it suits small-diameter tubing common in refrigerant lines, fuel lines, coolant connections, and pneumatic fittings. The band is 7 millimeters wide and 0.6 millimeters thick, formed from stainless steel for corrosion resistance. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and automotive and industrial technicians install this style of clamp where a worm-drive or spring clamp would add too much bulk or create an unreliable seal.
This ear clamp is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a tamper-resistant, vibration-resistant hose connection is required. Typical install scenarios include refrigerant-line fittings, PEX and flexible conduit terminations, automotive heater hose connections, and compressed-air tubing assemblies. The small nominal diameter makes it a common choice for tight-clearance installations where standard band clamps cannot seat properly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ear clamp for small-diameter hose and tubing assemblies requiring a 35/64 inch nominal clamp size.
Installation requires a dedicated ear clamp crimping tool rated for the clamp size — do not substitute pliers or generic hand tools, as uneven crimping will compromise the seal. Ensure the hose or tubing is fully seated on the fitting barb before positioning the clamp over the ear. Once crimped, the connection is permanent and the clamp must be cut off for disassembly. Follow all applicable trade codes and manufacturer guidelines for the system being serviced.
