The OETIKER 16700010-100 is a single-ear stepless clamp designed for permanent, tamper-resistant hose and tubing connections. The clamp is manufactured from stainless steel and closes by deforming the ear with a pincer tool, creating a uniform 360-degree clamping force around the hose. At 1/2 inch nominal size, it suits small-diameter tubing common in HVAC, plumbing, and fluid-handling assemblies. Band width measures 7.00 mm and band thickness measures 0.60 mm, providing a secure, low-profile seat that resists loosening from vibration or thermal cycling. Installation requires no secondary fasteners.
This clamp is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a permanent, vibration-resistant hose connection is required. Typical uses include refrigerant line insulation jacketing, condensate drain tubing, PEX or flexible hose terminations, and other small-bore fluid or pneumatic connections. Trade installers in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical piping regularly specify ear clamps where hose barb fittings demand a leak-free, non-adjustable seal. The compact profile fits in tight spaces where worm-drive or T-bolt clamps are impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style ear clamp for 1/2 inch nominal diameter hose and flexible tubing connections in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical fluid-handling systems.
Ear clamps are installed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or pipefitters using a dedicated ear-clamp pincer or pincers tool sized for the ear width. Slide the clamp onto the hose before attaching the hose to the barb fitting, then position the ear over the barb and close with the tool in a single, even squeeze. Once formed, the clamp is permanent and cannot be reopened without cutting it off. Always verify nominal hose diameter and barb size match the clamp before installation.
