The OETIKER 15500036-100 is a 1-ear stepless clamp designed for secure, permanent hose and tubing connections in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-handling systems. The clamp is formed from stainless steel with a 0.028-inch (0.6 mm) wall thickness and a 0.276-inch (7 mm) band width, providing consistent radial clamping force when crimped. With a clamping range of 2.083 inches to 2.205 inches (52.90 mm to 56.00 mm), it fits 2-3/16-inch nominal tubing. The ear inner width is 0.394 inches (10 mm), sized for standard pincer-style crimping tools. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors use these clamps where reusable worm-gear clamps are not acceptable or where a low-profile permanent connection is required.
This clamp is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving flexible hose, corrugated tubing, or barbed fittings in potable water, hydronic heating, refrigerant line-set covers, and general fluid conveyance assemblies. It is particularly common in PEX-to-barb connections, condensate drain line fittings, and flexible HVAC duct collars where a clean, tamper-evident crimp is specified. The single-ear design allows installation in tight spaces where multi-ear or worm-gear clamps cannot seat properly.
Designed as an OEM-style permanent clamp for 2-3/16-inch nominal hose and tubing connections in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-handling assemblies where stepless ear-clamp crimping is specified.
Installation requires a pincer-style or jaw-type ear-clamp crimping tool sized for the 0.394-inch ear; do not attempt to close the ear with pliers or a generic crimp tool, as uneven force will compromise the seal. Shut off and depressurize the fluid or refrigerant circuit before removing an existing clamp or seating a new one. Follow applicable codes including IPC and IFGC for potable-water and gas-adjacent connections. Inspect the barbed fitting and hose bore for debris or damage before seating the clamp, as contamination under the band will cause leaks.
